Current Vacancies
Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Tutor (Light Vehicle)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £32,000 - £37,000 depending on experience
If you’re passionate about the motor vehicle industry and want to help shape the future of aspiring motor vehicle technicians, we’d love to hear from you.
Ideally you will hold a level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent. If you do not hold a level 3 qualification, we may a consider applicants who hold a level 2 qualification in either of these disciplines, together with significant recent industrial experience.
Our automotive engineering team have excellent practical skills, knowledge and a passion for delivering vocational qualifications in a safe, professional manner. Ideally you will hold a relevant Level 3 teaching qualification or above or be willing to work towards in the first year of appointment. You will have the opportunity to shadow other tutors / classes as part of your induction.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective teaching across motor vehicle programmes (Levels 2/3)

Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback

Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Support students’ academic and personal development

Contribute to course development and continuous improvement

Maintain a safe and professional workshop and learning environment

Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to quality improvement activities.

Hours of work
Monday to Friday – 8.20am – 4.30pm (3.45pm Fridays)
With occasional evening work to support the College careers & open events.

Motor Vehicle Repair and Maintenance Apprenticeships and Full-Time Courses
Starting September 2026

We accept applications from anyone wanting to move into the motor vehicle sector and have
apprenticeships and full time courses available from September 2026.
All applicants will be invited in to the GTA to undertake a selection assessment to determine the
best course for you, we usually start these sessions at Easter.
Entry Requirements
*No experience necessary
*Ideally GCSE grade 4 and above although training will be given to reach these standards.
